ARIZONA DPS UNARMED SECURITY GUARD COURSE:
You are required to have 8 hours of security guard training to be licensed in the state of Arizona. The training will include the following:

ARIZONA DPS ARMED SECURITY GUARD REFRESHER COURSE:
You are required to have 8 hours of armed security guard refresher training every year to maintain your license in the state of Arizona. The training will include the following:
Introduction

Weapon care and Maintenance
Mental Conditioning
Weapon manipulation and Marksmanship
Written test
Firearm qualification
Time: 8 hours

ARIZONA DPS SHOTGUN COURSE:
You are required to have 8 hours of training to carry a shotgun for security guard purposes in the state of Arizona. The training will include the following:
Introduction

Malfunctions
Methods of Carry
Transition from Shotgun to Handgun

ARIZONA DPS SHOTGUN REFRESHER COURSE:
You are required to have 4 hours of refresher training to continue carrying the Shotgun. The training will include the following:

Injured techniques
Position shooting

NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED (PATH) HANDCUFFING CERTIFICATION:
This is a 4 hour course of training. Upon completion of the course you will be able to do the following:
Identify the safest position to be in while handcufing a subjject who is in a standing position.
Identify the safest approach for handcuffing a subject.
Identify the safest position to have a subject in for handcuffing.
Identify the easiest and fastest method of applying handcuffs.
Demonstrate a proper stance, position of the body, and handcuffs when handcuffing a subject.
Demonstrate how to safely handcuff a prone subject.
Demonstrate how to disengage from an aggressive subject and transition to another response option.
Demonstrate how to take a resistive subject into a prone controlled position.

NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED (OCAT) OC PEPPER SPRAY CERTIFICATION:
This is a 4 hour course of training. Upon completion of the course you will be able to do the following:
Identify the effects of OC on human beings when dispersed in aerosol form.
define a chemical irritant, what an inflammatory is, Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Spray and where they are located on the resistance and control management options in respect to the use of control management.
demonstrate a proper stance and position of the body when holding an OC unit in the hand for use or potential use with all techniques taught in the OCAT Basic Certification Course.
Deliver verbal directions or commands to combative subjects while holding an OC unit in the hand or using OC.
Accurately spray OC in one quarter second or multiple one quarter second bursts at physically combative subjects.
Identify the ways to cleanse an area that has been exposed to OC.
Identify the first aid and post exposure cleansing procedures available for administering to subjects that have been exposed to OC.

NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED (MEB) EXPANDABLE BATON CERTIFICATION:
This is a 4 hour course of training. Upon completion of the course you will be able to do the following:
Learn the use of force as it pertains to an expandable baton.
Learn and demonstrate the use of the baton.
Learn and demonstrate techniques which will enable you to control hostile suspects .
Learn how to minimize the possibility of an opponent's injury or death while ensuring your safety and protection.

ARIZONA DPS (CCW) CONCEALED CARRY WEAPON CERTIFICATION:
You are required to have 8 hours of training to carry concealed in the state of Arizona. The training will include to following:
Safe handling and storage.
Legal Issues relating to the use of deady force.
firearm care and maintenance.
Mental conditioning fo use of deadly force.
Judgemental shooting
Firearm manipulation, marksmanship and practice.

CPR, FIRST AID AND AED:
This is an 8 hour training course approved by the National Safety Council. You will receive a National Safety Council certificate and identification card upon completion of the course and tests.
